East Coast Travel with Luke: Wrightsville Beach, North Carolina
Hi blog readers!
This is Luke, and this week in Luke's Travel Destinations I will be talking about a location on the east coast that I have visited many times: Wrightsville Beach, North Carolina. Wrightsville Beach is located in the southern part of North Carolina, about six miles east of the city of Wilmington. It is known to be one of the best beaches in North Carolina with a warm climate.
When I was younger, my family and I traveled to Wrightsville Beach for my dad's work conferences. My mom also had friends in the area that we would visit.
We drove when we traveled to Wrightsville Beach. The drive was not bad at all. The scenery on the way is beautiful especially while you're driving through Virginia and North Carolina.
If you don't feel like driving, you can fly into Wilmington International Airport, which is a 17-minute drive, via Google Maps, from Wrightsville Beach. I would suggest renting a vehicle from Enterprise. The cost of an SUV from the airport according to the Enterprise website is $57 a day.

There also is exploring to do in Wrightsville Beach. According to WrightsvilleBeach.com, the top attractions in Wrightsville Beach include the Museum of History, Johnnie Mercer's Pier, Mansonboro Island Coastal Estuarine Reserve, the causeway and boat ramp, Shell Island, and the intercoastal waterway. I also recommend going to see Battleship North Carolina in Wilmington and visiting the University of North Carolina Wilmington's campus.

Wrightsville Beach is my second favorite travel location. The beach is wonderful, and it is not filled with tourists. Wrightsville Beach is also very scenic and is perfect for people who like exploring.
I have made many memories there, and I can't wait to go back. I hope this sparks your interest in Wrightsville Beach!
