Out West Travel with Luke: The State of Wyoming

Image
Hi Blog Readers! This week in travel locations with Luke, I will be talking about out west traveling to the state of Wyoming, which I did when I was ten years old.  Teton National Park (tetonwild.com) Wyoming: nicknamed the Cowboy State, is for travelers who like to explore the outdoors. According to Kiss FM Casper, Wyoming is ranked the 10th most beautiful state in the United States, which I disagree with; I think Wyoming should be at least top five, but that's for you to judge.  Now let's get into the two best places to visit in Wyoming and how to get there.  First, I recommend flying into Salt Lake City, Utah, and renting a car to travel to Jackson Hole, Wyoming. Jackson Hole has an airport, but there are limited flight options as it is very tiny, so Salt Lake City is the better option if you want more flight options to pick from throughout the year.  The reason I recommend traveling to Jackson Hole is because it is in a beautiful location, nestled in the Teton Na...

East Coast Travel with Luke: Wrightsville Beach, North Carolina

Image
Hi blog readers! This is Luke, and this week in Luke's Travel Destinations I will be talking about a location on the east coast that I have visited many times: Wrightsville Beach, North Carolina.  Wrightsville Beach is located in the southern part of North Carolina, about six miles east of the city of Wilmington. It is known to be one of the best beaches in North Carolina with a warm climate.    hometogo.com Wrightsville Beach, NC  When I was younger, my family and I traveled to Wrightsville Beach for my dad's work conferences. My mom also had friends in the area that we would visit.  We drove when we traveled to Wrightsville Beach. The drive was not bad at all. The scenery on the way is beautiful especially while you're driving through Virginia and North Carolina. If you don't feel like driving, you can fly into Wilmington International Airport, which is a 17-minute drive, via Google Maps, from Wrightsville Beach. I would suggest renting a vehicle from Enterpri...

Luke's Travel Destinations: Destin, Florida

Hi Blog Readers! My name is Luke Driskell, and I am a freshman sports management major from Dayton, Ohio.  I will be blogging about travel destinations in the United States that I have personally traveled to. I will include information about the location, activities to do there, places to stay, restaurants to eat at, and my opinion on the location. I plan on discussing travel destinations in Florida, North Carolina, and Wyoming.  Now let's talk travel!  This week's travel destination is Destin, Florida.  Nicknamed the Emerald Coast because of its watercolor, Destin is located in the Florida panhandle. Destin is an hour east of Pensacola and an hour west of Panama City Beach. Destin is a popular location for spring breakers and snowbirds.  If you plan to drive to Destin, be prepared to pay a toll to drive over the Mid-Bay bridge. If you plan to fly, book a rental car six months or more in advance because they will book up quickly due to the popularity of Destin....
